For a while now, Heathens Against Hate has been working with other Heathen organizations to create a broad inclusive Heathen coalition. We started work on this in earnest in late 2025, due to a number of factors — increased requests from group memberships for cooperation and coalition-building, mutual concern about the current political climate, and a drive to protect the most vulnerable among us and our larger communities.
We are united in our shared concern about these issues and our desire to present a unified front in regards to them, while maintaining our individual identities as distinct organizations.
While there will be more news, projects, and joint statements in the future, today we’re announcing the following:
We, the undersigned, are in the process of drafting a new shared position statement that would address the future of Declaration 127 to reflect the needs of our faith in this moment and beyond.
We are also developing a number of shared programs, improvements to our education programs, and are discussing the future of deeper cooperation within Heathenry.
